12-14-07 Lansdowne - Broadway- 2nd Alarm Dwelling
On December 14,2007 a dwelling fire was dispatched in Camden City at Lansdowne and Broadway.Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story end of the row dwelling with heavy fire showing on the 1st and 2nd floor. The All Hands was sounded on arrival,Crews arrived and went in operation with multiple hand lines as Ladder 1 went to the roof. The 2nd alarm was sounded due to heavy fire conditions in the dwelling.The fire was placed under control without injuries.

12-8-07 1119 Marion Street- All Hands Dwelling
At 5:22 p.m a dwelling box was dispatched in Camden City at 1119 Marion Street. Companies arrived on location to find a 2 story vacant with heavy fire showing. Companies forced entry into the dwelling to find heavy fire conditions on the 1st and 2nd floors. The all hands was sounded on arrival.Companies were in service operating with multiple hand lines. The fire extended into the occupied exposure.Command requested an additional Ladder and Engine above the All Hands Box.At 5:53 Command reported the bulk of the fire was knocked down as crews were checking for extension.No injuries were reported on the fire ground.

12-5-07 33rd Street- Freemont- M.V.A Rescue
Engine 9, Rescue 1, Battalion 2 and EMS were dispatched for a M.V.A Rescue at Freemont and 33rd Street around 4 p.m. EMS arrived to find a work truck vs. an occupied school bus. Searches on the school bus found approx 10 kids who were not seriously injured. The initial evaluation of the truck found the driver severely trapped behind the steering wheel. Engine 9 arrived and stretched a line for precaution. Rescue 1 arrived and went in operation with the tools.The Rescue Company was in operation for approx 1 hour working to free the trapped occupant. Camden EMS along with the Medic unit treated and transported the trapped driver to Cooper Hospital. The other passenger in the van was transported as well.The children on the school bus were either picked up by parents or transported to a local hospital. Police stated the believed the driver of the truck was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

11-27-07 1013 Langham Ave- 2nd Alarm Dwelling- 1 FF hurt - 10 dwellings involved
At 7:30 p.m a Camden City box was dispatched for a reported dwelling with possible occupants trapped.Engines 8, 6,1, Ladders 3,1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to 1013 Langham Ave. Units arrived and reported 2 dwellings with heavy fire conditions on the first and second floors with fire running the porches. Battalion 1 struck the 2nd alarm on arrival.Engines 9, 11, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, Battalion 2 and Car 3 were added on the 2nd Alarm.First arriving Engine went in operation on the original fire building as Rescue 1 performed searches. Water supplies were established as the Ladder Companies through ground ladders. Command reported 5 lines were stretched and placed in operation. The fire was knocked down approx 10 porches as well as both fire buildings around the 10 minute mark. Searches were negative as the occupants were able to escape the flames prior to Fire Department arrival.Car 3 reported the fire was under control at 8:05 pm. Police located a gas can in the street across from the fire. An occupant of the original fire building was transported to a local hospital for burns and smoke inhalation. One firefighter from Ladder 1 was transported to a local hospital for a minor injury.The fire started in 1013 and effected 1011 through 1003The Camden City Police Department and Camden City Fire Marshals Office have the fire under investigation. The American Red Cross was called upon for the displaced occupants.

11-11-07 9th- Atlantic Ave - M.V.A Rescue
Police were dispatched to 9th and Atlantic for a M.V.A in Camden City. Upon arrival PD found a 2 car accident with one person trapped. One vehicle struck a fence after the crash. Squad 7, Battalion 1, ALS and BLS were dispatched to the scene for a Rescue Assignment. Squad 7 went into operation upon arrival to extricate the victim trapped in the mini van.BLS treated and transported both drivers involved in the crash to an area hospital. Police have the accident under investigation.

11-4-07 748 Pine Street - All Hands Dwelling with Jumper
At 10:15 p.m a dwelling box was dispatched for 748 Pine Street in Camden City. Engine 8, Squad 7, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to the scene. Battalion 1 arrived and confirmed a 2 story end of the row dwelling with smoke showing from the 2nd floor. Engine 8 went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line. Engine 8 reported a fire in the rear bedroom. Rescue 1 performed searches as Ladder 1 placed ground ladders. Battalion 1 struck the All Hands bringing in Battalion 2 and an Engine company. BLS treated 1 occupant who had jumped from the 2nd floor of the dwelling. The pt. was transported to Cooper Hospital for a Trauma Evaluation. The fire was placed under control at the 20 minute mark. The Camden County Fire Marshals as well as the Camden City Fire Marshal have the fire under investigation.No firefighter injuries were reported on the fire ground.

10-16-07 N. 28th Street - Pleasant - All Hands Dwellings
Shortly after after 11 p.m, Engines 9,11, Ladders 3, 1 , Rescue 1 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to N. 28th and Pleasant for a reported dwelling fire.Battalion 2 arrived and reported a 2 story twin with heavy fire through the roof. The all hands was sounded and all companies were directed to set up in defensive operations.An additional Engine crew was also dispatched as fire spread to the D exposure. Companies went in operation with 2 ½ hand lines as Ladder 3 went in operation with the Master Stream. Battalion 2 reported the dwelling to be fully involved with the exposure being heavily involved. Crews operated on scene with multiple hand lines before Battalion 2 reported the fire to be under control at the 40 minute mark.No injuries were reported on the Fire Ground. The Camden City Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation.

10-12-07 641 York Street- All Hands Dwelling
At 3 p.m, Engine 6, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Ladder 3, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to the 6th Street and York Street for a dwelling fire.Ladder 1 arrived and reported heavy fire from the 2nd floor. Battalion 2 arrived and reported at 641 York St, it was a 2 story end of the row dwelling confirming heavy fire from the 2nd floor. Engine 6 arrived and went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line. Engine 1 arrived secured a water supply and stretched a back up line. Ladder 1 went to the roof as Rescue 1 performed searches. The fire was knocked down as crews opened up and checked for extension. EMS transported 1 occupant with smoke inhalation. The American Red Cross was called for the assistance of 3 adults and 6 children. The fire was placed under control around the 20 minute mark. No firefighter injuries were reported.

10-11-07 1307 Everett St.- Double Fatal All Hands Dwelling Fire
A Camden City box was transmitted for a dwelling fire at 1307 Everett Street. Squad 7, Engine 8, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to the scene.While en route Camden County Communications advised responding units they were receiving multiple calls with reports of people trapped.Squad 7 arrived on location and reported a working fire with victims. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story ordinary construction, single family dwelling with heavy fire and a victim in front of the dwelling. The all hands was sounded. EMS tended to the victim which had serious head trauma from jumping from the 2nd floor window. She was treated and transported to Cooper Trauma Center. Additional EMS were called to the scene.Another occupant was treated and transported to the hospital who did not have serious injuries. Squad 7 went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line to find heavy fire conditions on the first floor. A 2nd line was placed in operation as well. Searches by the crews found a male in the 2nd floor rear room in cardiac arrest. This victim was brought out the 2nd floor window and CPR was started. Crews secured the victim in a stokes basket and lowered to the ground via ground ladders to awaiting EMS. The pt. was transported to Cooper Trauma and pronounced. Crews knocked down the fire on the number 1 floor and checked for extension. The victim who had jumped from the 2nd floor window later died from her injuries. The Camden City Fire Marshals, Camden City Police Department, and the Camden County Fire Marshals Office have the blaze under investigation.

9-25-07 546 Walnut St. - All Hands Dwelling - 2nd Job of the Day
On September 25, 2007 the 2nd working fire of the day was dispatched at 6:30 p.m. on the other side of the City. Engine 8, Squad 7, Ladder 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire at 546 Walnut Street.Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story end of the row dwelling with heavy smoke showing from the 1st and 2nd floor. The All Hands was struck on arrival. Engine 8 arrived and went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line. Ladder 1 performed ventilation as Squad 7 secured a water supply and stretched the back up line. Rescue 1 arrived and performed searches with negative results. The fire was placed under control without any injuries to firefighters.

9-25-07 River Rd.- Federal St.- All Hands Building
A box was dispatched in East Camden for a reported building fire around 2 p.m. Engine 6, 1, Ladder 1,3, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to River Rd. and Federal Street. Battalion 2 arrived and reported a 1 story vacant warehouse with smoke showing. The All Hands was sounded on arrival.The Engine and Rescue forced entry into the building as the Ladder went to the roof for ventilation. The Engine crews located the fire within the smoke filled warehouse and went in operation with multiple 1 3/4 hand lines. The fire was placed under control without any reported injuries.

9-9-07 132 N. 27th St- Dwelling
Ladder 3 called Camden County Communication and reported a fire at 132 N. 27th Street. Ladder 3 reported a 2 story with heavy smoke showing from the 2nd floor.A full box was transmitted assigning Engine 9, 11, Squad 7, Ladder 3, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2.Battalion 2 arrived and reported a 2 story twin with a working fire on the 2nd floor. Engine 9 went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line upon arrival. Command reported at the 10 minute mark the fire was still doubtful. A 2nd line was stretched as a backup as Ladder 3 performed ventilation. Rescue 1 performed searches with negative occupants inside.Additional EMS was dispatched to the scene for a total of 3 occupants who suffered smoke inhalation. All the occupants were transported to the hospital.Command placed the fire under control prior to the 20 minute mark. No firefighter injuries were reported.

8-31-07 Haddon & Federal St. - M.V.A
On Friday, August 31, 2007 around 1 p.m., Engine 1, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and EMS were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident rescue assignment at Haddon Ave and Federal St in Camden City.Camden County Communications reported a Bus hit a pole which brought down wires on a vehicle. The occupant was reported to be still in the vehicle.Upon Fire Department arrival, crews found a bus which clipped a traffic light bringing down a pole on top of another vehicle waiting at the light. No extrication was required. No injuries were reported.

7-13-07 Mt. Ephraim Ave- 4th Alarm Building
On Friday, July 13, 2007, at 7:32 p.m, Station 16-1 (Collingswood and Station 17-3, (Woodlynne) were dispatched to the area of Mt. Ephraim Ave near Morgan Blvd. for heavy smoke in the area. The caller notified 911 that the building was closed for the night and saw smoke coming from the building. The 2nd call reported heavy smoke in the area. Engines 1613 and 1732 along with 1602 responded to find a smoke condition over the entire town on Woodlynne. Police arrived on location and reported a warehouse on fire on the Camden side at Morgan and Mt. Ephraim on fire. Both Engines arrived at the same time and confirmed the Police reports. Engine 1613 forced the gate to make entry on the Mt. Ephraim side as 1732 made entry on the Morgan Blvd side. Chief 1601 arrived on location and reported heavy smoke coming from building requesting a 2nd alarm. The building was reported to be the Commercial Paper processing storage plant. As Camden City units were clearing a previous 2nd alarm blaze in North Camden, Companies were sent directly to the warehouse. Multiple companies were also dispatched to the scene. Engine 1613 secured a water supply, laid in, forced entry and went in operation with a 2 1/2 hand line. Engine 1732 pulled up in the rear and went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line. Interior crews found heavy fire consisting of paper pallets. Multiple hand lines were set up and placed on operation. Command requested a 3rd alarm followed by a 4th. Camden City Engine 10 grabbed a plug on the way in as well as Collingswoods 1611 to both supply Engine 1613. Engine 1613 supplied multiple hand lines in the building as well as relayed the water to Engine 8 who supplied 1732 in the rear. A special call for platform ladders was made and a total of 6 ladder companies were placed in operation. Conrail trains were also hauled in the area due to supply lines crossing the tracks. Crews knocked the main body of the fire down as heavy equipment was brought in from the warehouse to pick the piles apart. Crews packed up and went available as Engine 1613, 1732, 10, 8 remained on location to check for hotspots. The last companies were placed back in service at 01:30 a.m. No injuries were reported on the fire ground. The Camden City Fire Marshals are investigating the blaze.

At 11:00 the Camden City Fire Department was dispatched to the 2800 Block of Pleasant Avenue for a dwelling fire. First arriving Battalion 2 reported a two story single family dwelling well involved. Engine 9 arrived and secured their own water supply,3 Truck was division "A",Engine 11 secured a secondary water supply at th and Thompson,Squad 7 was on the hydrant at th and Pleasant,Rescue Company 1 provided additional man power, while Ladder 1 was assigned FAST duties.A partial collapse of the porch occurred in the first twenty minutes,followed by a complete collapse if the porch about ten minutes later. The fire was placed under control in under an hour.No injuries were reported, and the fire remains under investigation.

6-13-07 123 N. 32nd St.- All Hands Dwelling (Story and Photos by Bob Chester)
Crews were dispatched to 123 North 32nd Street for a dwelling fire. Do to the amount of calls for the incident, Camden County Communications added the "All Hands" box.On arrival Battalion 2 reported heavy fire on the second floor of a two story wood frame. Engine 9 arrived and went in operation with an 1" 3/4 hand line. Engine 9 also secured their own water supply. Engine 11 secured a secondary water supply, and also went in operation with an 1"3/4. 3 Truck provided ventilation, and Rescue Company 1 did a primary search with negative results. Ladder 1 was the assigned FAST Truck, and Squad 7 provided additional resources to the scene. The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes. The Camden City Fire Marshals Office is investigating the incident.

6-11-07 Tioga-Budd St.'s - All Hands Dwelling
On Monday June 11, 2007. Squad 7, Engine 8, Ladder 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to Tioga and Budd St.s for a reported dwelling fire.While en route Engine 10 was added as the 3rd due Engine Company as County Radio was receiving multiple calls. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story end of the row vacant with fire on the first floor. Squad 7 went in operation with a 1 Ύ hand line as Engine 8 secured a water supply. Ladder 2 through ground ladders as Rescue 1 performed searches. A 2nd 1 Ύ hand line was placed in operation as well. The fire was knocked down on the 1st floor without extension to the 2nd. No injuries were reported on the fire ground.

6-1-07 1024 Niagra Rd. - All Hands Dwelling
The Camden City Police Department notified the dispatcher of a house on fire at 1024 Niagra Rd at 8 am. Engine 10, Squad 7, Ladder 2 and 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1, were dispatched on the box. Engine 8 was added as the 3rd Engine Company due to County Radio receiving multiple calls. While Fire Units were responding, Police made entry into the dwelling to find the occupants unaware their house was on fire. All occupants made it out without injury.Engine 10 arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the 2nd floor and attic area. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a middle of the row, working fire. Battalion 2 was added to the box. Engine 10 went in operation with a 1 3/4 hand line as Ladder 2 placed ground ladders and performed outside vent. Squad 7 secured a water supply and followed in with a backup line. Rescue 1 performed searches in the fire building as well as forcing entry into the exposure for a search and check for extension. At the 20 minute mark, Battalion 1 reported the bulk of the fire was knocked down and placed the fire under control. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.

5-20-07 818 S. 5th Street - All Hands Dwelling
On May 20, 2007 at 4 pm, Engine 8 was dispatched for a smoke investigation at 5th and Division. Police arrived in the area to find a dwelling on fire at 818 S. 5th Street. A full box was dispatched to that location. Engine 1, Engine 6, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched. Engine 8 arrived to find smoke showing from the rear of the property. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story, ordinary construction with a working fire in the rear striking the all hands. Battalion 2 was added to the box.Battalion 1 reported at the 10 minute mark, crews were in operation with 2 1 Ύ hand lines with water on the fire. Ladder 1 through ground ladders and removed the boards from the windows and Rescue 1 performed searches. One firefighter was injured on the fire ground and treated for minor injuries. The dwelling was vacant at the time of the blaze. Neighbors reported seeing a person leave the dwelling shortly before it was called in. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.

5-19-07 10th & Linden St.'s - All Hands Dwelling
At 830 am, Camden City units were dispatched for a reported dwelling at 10th and Linden Streets. Responding on the box was Engine 6,1, Ladders 1,3, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2. Camden County Radio advised units they were receiving multiple calls and added Squad 7 to the assignment. Battalion 2 arrived and reported a 2 story single family dwelling with smoke showing. The All Hands was struck on arrival. Engine 6 went in operation with a 1 3/4 handline upon arrival.Engine 1 secured a water supply, Ladder 1 through ground ladders as Rescue 1 performed searches. Battalion 2 reported at the 10 minute mark 2 lines were in operation with a basement fire.The fire was confined to the basement. No firefighter injuries were reported. The blaze is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.

5-16-06 1403 Chesapeake Ave- All Hands Dwelling
Camden City units were dispatched for a box assignment at 1403 Chesapeake Ave around 5pm.Responding on the box was Engine 10, Squad 7, Ladder 2 and 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1. Camden County Communications notified units they were receiving multiple calls reporting a house on fire. Engine 8 was added as the 3rd Engine.Engine 10 arrived and reported heavy fire from a 2 story dwelling. Battalion 1 arrived and struck the all hands adding Battalion 2. Ladder 2 reported access problems as a vehicle was blocking a street. Battalion 1 reported at the 10 minute mark he had heavy fire 1st and 2nd floor with crews making good progress with multiple 1.75 hand lines. Rescue 1 performed searches as Ladder 2 through ground ladders. Crews battled water supply problems due to dead hydrants in the area. Command reported at the 20 minute mark the bulk of the fire was knocked down and crews were checking for extension. Battalion 1 placed the fire under control a short time after. Engine 10 was involved in a minor M.V.A responding to the scene.No injuries were reported on the fire ground.

5-15-05 1801 S. 4th St- All Hands Dwelling
Engine 8 and 10, Ladder 2 and 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to 4th and Jasper Street for a dwelling fire.Camden County advised units responding they were receiving multiple calls for a dwelling on fire. Squad 7 was added to the box.Battalion 1 arrived at 1801 S. 4th Street, and reported a 2 story end of the vacant row tax payer with heavy fire on the first floor striking the all hands adding Battalion 2. Engine 8 arrived and went in operation with a 1.75 handline while Ladder 2 through ground ladders and went to the roof. Rescue 1 performed searches while Engine 10 established a water supply. At the 10 minute mark Battalion 1 reported he still had heavy fire throughout with crews stretching additional hand lines.At the 20 minute mark, Command reported the bulk of the fire knocked down. No injuries were reported on the fire ground.

5-2-07 - Next to 611 Bailey Street- All Hands Dwelling (Photos and Story by Greg Taylor)
Camden City NJ, Camden County - At approx 0100 Hours Camden City Firefighters were alerted to the area next to 611 Bailey street for a reported dwelling fire.
Engine Companies 6, 1; Ladders 1, 3; Rescue Co. 1 and Battalion 2 responded. Engine Co. 6 arrived to report a possible exterior rubbish fire and were investigating further.
Battalion 2 then arrived and reported a 2 Story Row Dwelling vacant and also under renovation with fire showing to the rear. Battalion 2 requested the all Hands which brought
Battalion 1 and Engine 11. Companies attacked the fire with 2 1 3/4 Handlines and Ladder Co.'s performed ventilation. The fire which appeared to be contained to the rear
portion of the home was quickly extinguished. Command reported no extension to the attached dwelling to the Bravo side and placed the fire under control at 0122 Hours.
There were no reported injuries at the scene.

4-24-07 1100 block of Sewell St- 2nd Alarm Dwelling (story and photos by Bob Chester)
At 17:00 hours the Camden City Fire Department received numerous calls reporting a dwelling on fire in the 1100 block of Sewell Street. Engine 9 arrived and reported a two story twin fully involved. Engine 9 laid into the job and led off with a 2 1/2" blitz line. Engine 11 arrived and supplied Engine 9, 3 Truck arrived and began checking the exposures on the "D" side. Battalion 2 struck the second alarm on his arrival. Because there were other calls occurring within the City Limits mutual aide companies from Collingswood (Rescue 16) and Pennsauken (Ladder 112) were dispatched on the second alarm along with other city companies.The fire was placed under control at the 40 minute mark. There was one resident from a neighboring dwelling checked out for possible smoke inhalation. The City of Camden Fire Marshals Office is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

4-13-07 Newton Trailer Park- All Hands
At 1909 hours, Engine 10, Squad 7, Ladder 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched for a reported trailer fire at the trailer park on Rt. 130 and Mt. Ephraim Ave. Engine 8 and Battalion 2 were added to the box due to County Radio receiving multiple calls. County Radio advised units a Mt. Laurel Lt. was location and reported a working fire.Engine 10 arrived and reported heavy fire and smoke showing with the trailer almost fully involved. Engine 10 went in operation with a 1 Ύ handline. Squad 7 placed a backup line in operation. Battalion 1 reported at the 10 minute mark crews still have fire conditions in the trailer. Searches were performed with negative results. All occupants of the trailer were accounted for.The fire was placed under control 21 minutes after dispatch. At 1958 the Arson Detective was notified. No firefighter injures were reported on the fire ground. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.

4-9-07 Chestnut- Mt. Ephraim - Fatal M.V.A (story and photos by Greg Taylor)
On The morning of April 9th 2007 at approx. 1220 Hrs Camden City EMS reported an MVA with possible entrapment at Chestnut and Mt Ephraim Avenues. The MVA was caused after a Police Chase by Camden City PD. The suspect apparently had stolen a Motor Vehicle and later crashed into the PATCO high speed line bridge abutment. The single vehicle MVA contained only 1 passenger and he was ejected from the vehicle and found some distance away. Camden City Fire and EMS along with Virtua Medics treated the patient for multiple injuries which he later succumbed to. No other injuries were reported at the scene.

3-31-07 Atlantic Ave - Front St. - All Hands Junkyard
A box was transmitted for Camden Iron at Front and Atlantic Aves for a junkyard fire at 2 pm. The first arriving units reported heavy fire conditions within the yard. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a pile of automobiles approx 50x100 well involved. Crews secured a water supply and supplied Ladder 1 using the master streams from the bucket. The all hands box was dispatched. Ladder 1 placed 2 Ladder Pipes in operation as well as multiple handlines. Camden Iron crews operated with heavy machines to pull the pile apart. One firefighter obtained minor injuries on the fireground. Crews battled the blaze for approx 90 minutes before Battalion 1 placed it under control. The smoke column was seen for miles and was visible Delaware and Pennsylvania.

3-20-07 310 Becket Street - All Hands Dwelling
At 0210 am on March 20, 2007, Engine 1, Engine 6, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to 310 Becket Street for a dwelling fire. County Radio advised units they received a call from the residents reporting flames from the basement. Engine 1 arrived and reported smoke showing. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story, ordinary, with smoke showing striking the all hands. Battalion 2 and Engine 8 were added to the box.Engine 1 went in operation with a 1.75 hand line to find fire conditions in the basement. A 2nd 1.75 handline was also placed in operation. Ladder 1 through ground ladders as Rescue 1 performed searches. One resident was transported to a local hospital. Conditions on injury were unknown. The fire was brought under control 22 minutes from dispatch. No firefighter injuries were reported on the fire ground.

3-19-07 1544 Wildwood Ave - 2nd Alarm Dwellint (1 FF injured)
A box was dispatched in the City for a dwelling fire at 1544 Wildwood Ave on March 19, 2007 at 0245 pm. Squad 7, Engine 9, Ladder 3, Ladder 2, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2 responded on the box. County Radio advised units they received a call for a rubbish fire on the front porch. Minutes later County Radio advised the responding units they were receiving multiple calls. Engine 8 was added to the box.Engine 9 arrived and reported heavy fire conditions showing. Battalion 2 arrived and reported a 2 story with heavy fire 1st and 2nd floors with extension to the exposure. The 2nd alarm was transmitted.Engine 1, Engine 6, Ladder 161 (Collingswood), Battalion 1 and Car 3 were added to the box. Engine 9 went in service with a 2 ½ handline to knock the heavy fire conditions down on the front porch. Ladder 3 set ground ladders in place and went in operation with ventilation. Squad 7 secured a water supply and followed in with a back up line. Rescue 1 arrived and performed searches with negative results. Both City Ladders were placed in operation opening up. The fire was knocked down quickly and crews opened up to check for extension.One firefighter was transported to an area hospital with smoke inhalation. The fire is under investigation at this time.

3-14-07 401 Chambers St. - All Hands Dwelling
At 5 A.M. on March 14, 2007 a box was transmitted in the City of Camden for a dwelling fire at 5th and Chambers.Responding on the box was Engine 1, Engine 6, Ladder 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1. County Radio advised units they received a call reporting smoke and flames from a dwelling.Rescue 1 arrived and reported a dwelling heavily involved. Battalion 1 arrived and reported at 401 Chambers Street, a 3 story, ordinary, dilapidated burned out vacant, with heavy fire showing from the rear. The all hands was struck adding Engine 8 and Battalion 2 to the box.Engine 6 went in operation with a 1.75 hand line followed by a back up line. A water supply was established as Rescue 1 performed searches. At the 20 minute mark Battalion 1 reported all visible fire had been knocked down and placed the fire under control 10 minutes later. No firefighter injuries were reported on the fire ground.

3-10-07 915 N. 5th Street- All Hands Dwelling
On March 10th, 2007, Engine 6, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Ladder 3, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to 5th and York for a reported dwelling fire at 8 pm.White enroute County Radio advised Battalion 2 they received 4 calls for a house of fire. Engine 11 was added to the box.Engine 6 arrived and reported smoke showing. Battalion 2 arrived and reported at 915 N. 5th street they had medium smoke showing from a 2 story middle of the row. Several minutes later, Battalion 2 reported Engine 6 had heavy fire on the 2nd floor with fire in the cockloft. The all hands was struck. Battalion 1 was added to the box. Engine 1 secured a water supply as Ladder 1 went to the roof. Rescue 1 performed searches with negative results. At the 10 minute mark Battalion 2 reported crews still had fire conditions on the 2nd floor and in the cockloft. Squad 7 and Ladder 2 were added to the box as a special call.Crews knocked down the blaze in the original fire building and opened up the exposures which both had smoke conditions in them.15 Minutes into the job Battalion 2 reported the bulk of the fire knocked down and 10 minutes later placed it under control. No firefighter injuries were reported on the fire ground. Camden City Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze.

3-8-07 Empire - Park - Double Fatal M.V.A
At 11 pm on March 8, 2007, Squad 7 and Ladder 3 were dispatched for a reported vehicle fire at Empire and Park. While en route Camden County Communications advised units it was going to be an overturned vehicle and not a vehicle fire.Ladder 3 was recalled and Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched. Squad 7 arrived and confirmed an overturned vehicle with occupants still inside. ALS and BLS arrived and confirmed both occupants to be DOA. One occupant was hanging half way out the passenger side window, with the other beneath them.Camden City Police notified their Traffic Unit to perform the fatal investigation. No other vehicle were reportly involved.

2-16-07 710 New Street- All Hands Dwelling
Engine 8, Engine 6, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, and Battalion 1 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire at 710 New Street around noon. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story, ordinary, with smoke showing. The all hands was sounded adding Battalion 2 and Squad 7. Engine 8 arrived and went in service with a 1.75 hand line. A 2nd 1.75 hand line was also placed in operation. Searches were negative of the fire building. Fire was quickly knocked down and placed under control. The Camden City Fire Marshals are investigating the blaze.

2-5-07 915 N. 4th Street- 2nd Alarm Dwelling
Around 5:30 p.m units were dispatched in Camden City for a dwelling fire at 4th and Baily Streets on freezing February 5, 2007.
Responding were Engines 6, 1, Ladders 1, and Battalion 2 and mutual aid from surrounding towns due to units being dispatched on a previous call. Battalion 2 responding struck the all hands en route due to a column showing. Police arrived and confirmed one occupant trapped on the roof of the fire building. Rescue 1 and Ladder 3 were placed back in service and responded to the job. Mutual aid companies were recalled.Engine 6 arrived and reported fire through the roof. Battalion 2 arrived at 915 4th Street and reported a 2 story end of the row, occupied, with heavy fire throughout striking the 2nd alarm. Squad 7, Engine 11, Ladder 2, and Car 3 were added to the box. Crews went in to operation with multiple hand lines as Rescue 1 performed searches. Crews battled the blaze as it had extended into the B exposure. Companies also battled the garage as it was involved as well.No occupants were found inside the dwelling. EMS was called to the scene for one firefighter who obtained an injury. Pennsauken Cascade unit was called to the scene as well as the Canteen units. Temperatures were in the teens. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.

Engine 6 was dispatched with UMDNJ EMS Camden to 7th and Linden Sts for a motor vehicle accident, Engine 6 arrived to find a car with heavy damage and 2 people trapped Rescue Company 1 removed a the doors on the drivers side and the roof to remove the patients. 2 people were transported 1 male to Cooper Trauma. The accident is under investigation by Camden Police .
