11-9-05 222 Zimmerman Ave 2nd Alarm Dwelling
A box was transmitted in Chesilhurst for a reported dwelling fire at 222 Zimmerman. Command arrived to find a 2 1/2 story occupied dwelling with heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor and heavy smoke throughout. Crews made an initial interior attack but quickly went defensive with exterior operations due to heavy fire. Command struck the all hands on arrival. Command made multiple special calls before striking the 2nd. Numerous mutual aid companies assisted on scene. During fire attack operations the homeowner was transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported. Cause of the fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshals.
