5-27-07 2300 New Albany Rd.- Dwelling (Story and Photos by Bob Chester)

In the early morning hours this morning the Task Force assignment was dispatched
for a reported house fire at 2300 New Albany Road. First arriving apparatus
confirmed a working fire with a water supply was at division A, and all
occupants were accounted for.Engine 2011 secured the water supply and went in
operation with numerous hand lines.Several mutual aide departments including
Moorestown ,Palmyra, and Riverton were on scene. There were no report on
injuries, and the fire is under investigation by the Cinnaminson Fire Marshal,
and Burlington County Fire Marshal Office.

In the early morning hours of Jan 2ND Task force 20 (201 & 202), Ladder 8015, and The Triboro Ambulance were dispatched to Pomona Avenue and Riverton Road for a reported dwelling fire.  Newly placed Career Engine 2013 out of Station 1 on Cinnaminson Avenue responded and arrived to find heavy fire showing from a 2 ½ story SFD.  All Companies were placed into service bringing the remainder of Station 801, Ladder 241 and Rescue 232 as the RIT.  Companies had heavy fire on the interior of the dwelling and used 2 1 ¾ handline's and 1 2 ½ handline, along with that extensive overhaul was utilized and s special call for CFM 9 (Houck) for usage of his arson dog.  The cause is still under investigation and it appears no one was home at the time of the fire.  No injuries were reported at the scene, and the fire was placed under control within 45 minutes from dispatch.
