1-18-09 University Ave- Dwelling (photos and info by Edan Davis)

 Glassboro fire company was dispached to university ave for a dwelling.

Engine 26-11 arrived wth heavy smoke showing and struck the all hands bringing units from pitman, Williamstown, Hurffville, and a RIC team from Whitman square.

 Ladder 26-16 arrived and started roof opperations. The fire was placed under control in about an hour.

 



2-3-08 GLASSBORO  - All Hands Dwelling

At 06:30 hours in Glassboro, a dwelling was reported on East Blvd by a driver passing by the dwelling. Police arrived and confirmed the dwelling was fully involved with possible people trapped.Glassboro Fire Units arrived and went in a defensive operation with heavy fire through the roof.  Companies placed multiple hand lines in operation.  The occupants were accounted for and not home at the time of the fire.  The Glassboro Police Department and Gloucester County Fire Marshals Office have the fire under investigation at this time 

 

   



2-13-07 - 1212 Cedar Ave - All Hands Dwelling with 3 victims

 Fire and EMS units were dispatched to 1212 Cedar Ave at 12:58am on February 13, 2007 for a dwelling with a report of people trapped.  Police arrived on location and confirmed a working fire.  Police also made 2 rescues of the occupants and pulled them from the dwelling.  First arriving units arriving found a 1 story single family dwelling with heavy fire and smoke showing.  Crews stretched lines and performed searches.  Crews battled flames in the A/B corner of the dwelling as well as the basement.  EMS arrived and started treating 2 severely burned occupants on the front lawn.  Additional ALS and BLS were dispatched.  Both fire victims were transported by air.  South Star and Jeffstat transported the victims to the Burn Treatment Center at Crozer- Chester Medical Center in Upland Pa.  A juvenile was also treated and transported by ground to a near by hospital.  The fire was placed under control at 01:41 hours.  One firefighter injury was reported.The fire is under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshals Office.
