12-31-09 245 Landing Rd. - All Hands Dwelling (Photos by Rich Moulder - Write up by Steve Skipton)

 

Command 820 reported heavy fire from an occupied 1 1/2 story dwelling placed all hands in service,the fire was brought under control with no injuries reported,the Camden County Fire Marshal is investigating.

 

   



7-10-09 74 Roosevelt - All Hands Dwelling

At 11 p.m. Gloucester Township crews were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire. EMS arrived and confirmed a working fire.  Initial reports were received of the occupant still inside.  Squad 8-6 arrived and reported heavy fire conditions requesting the all hands. Crews let off with a 1 ¾” hand line and performed a primary search.  Command reported a 1 story single family dwelling with heavy fire Division C.  Interior crews were reporting negative results on the primary search.  The evacuation tones were sounded as all crews exited the dwelling due to conditions.  Crews brought the fire under control and re entered the structure for overhaul.  One firefighter was transported to an area hospital by Gloucester Township EMS for a minor injury.  The resident was not home at the time of the fire.   The neighbor called in the fire after smelling smoke and seeing it come from the house.  The Gloucester Township Fire Department and Camden County Fire Marshals Office have the fire under investigation.

   

 

   



5-29-09 - 1501 Little Gloucester Rd.- All Hands Apartment

At 1:05 A.M. a call was received for a reported apartment fire at 1501 Little Gloucester Rd.    Command arrived and reported a 4 story garden style apartment building with a working fire on the 2nd floor,  requesting the all hands.  Companies arrived and placed a 1 ¾ hand line in operation as a primary search was conducted.  The occupants of the apartment were initially unaccounted for but later located.  At the 20 minute mark command reported 3 1 ¾” hand lines in operation with the bulk of the fire knocked down.  Crews opened up and checked for extension.  The fire was placed under control with no reported injuries.  The Camden County Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation.
