1-31-08  HADDON HEIGHTS  802 Station Ave  - 2nd Alarm Dwelling

At 11:30 A.M a dwelling fire was dispatched in Haddon Heights at 802 Station Ave.Command 210, reported a 2 ˝ story multi family dwelling with smoke showing from the chimney.  Crews arrived and reported a fire condition in the basement and chimney area.  Additional crews were sent to check for extension in the walls on each floor.The 2^nd Alarm was sounded which brought additional manpower to the scene. The fire was placed under control with no injuries reported.

11-10-07 1600 blk of Maple Ave - Fatal M.V.A

At 3:14 am on a rainy November 10, 2007, BLS and Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Maple Ave in Haddon Heights for a M.V.A. Police arrived and confirmed a one vehicle accident with an occupant still inside.  A full Rescue Assignment box was dispatched.BLS arrived and assessed the pt. to find him D.O.A.  with blunt force trauma to the head.  Police believe the driver lost control of the vehicle at the beginning of the block.  He then drove across several lawns, struck a fence, a telephone pole and possibly a tree.  The vehicle came to rest on the other side of the street on a front lawn.  The male was believed to be in his 20’s.  Police have the crash under investigation.
