10-25-06   220 S. Lenola Rd. - Apartment

Units were dispatched for a reported apartment fire at 220 S Lenola Rd at the Arbor Apartments around 430pm.Command arrived and reported a high rise with heavy smoke and fire showing from the 2nd floor window.  Crews went in service connecting to the standpipe as the 2nd due Engine secured the Stand Pipe connection.  Crews knocked the fire down in room of origin and checked for extension.  Fire is under investigation at the present time.

At approx 1840 Hrs Maple Shade Firefighters were dispatched to 123 West Main Street for a reported building fire.  Command 10-00 arriver to find a 2 story end of the row building with heavy fire showing from the 1st floor rear of a Doctors office.  Command requested all companies to go in-service, which brought Stations 313, 318 and RIT Squad 11-1.  Command reported interior crews were facing heavy fire conditions and were using 2 handlines.  Within 20 minutes crews were performing overhaul and had reported they were making very good progress and bulk of the fire was knocked down.  Crews opened up the 2nd floor and reported that they only had minor smoke conditions and no fire spread.  The fire was placed under control approx. 40 minutes after the time of dispatch.  No injuries were reported at the scene, and the fire is under investigation of by Maple Shade investigation office.
 
     


03-22-05 452 Coles Rd. 2nd alarm

Around 1300 horus a dwelling fire was reported on N. Coles Rd. in Maple Shade NJ.  Command (1000) arrrived 2 find a 2  1/2 story wood frame well involved upon arrival.  Crews went in service with defensive operations.  The 2nd alarm was sounded quickly.  Mutual aid from Moorestown, Cinnaminson, Mt. Laurel, Cherry Hill and Pennsauken assisted in operations.  The owner of the residence was taken to the hospital for child labor symptoms.  Renovations were just finshed on the house.
