4-12-08 WEST COLLINGSWOOD HEIGHTS Black Horse Pike- All Hands Building

At 1:30 p.m a Task Force box was dispatched in West Collingswood Heights for a reported building fire at 504 Black Horse Pike at Meineke Muffler.  Command arrived and reported a vehicle on fire inside the building.  West Collingswood Heights  Engine 1522 arrived and went into operation with a 1 ¾” hand line.  As the rest of the box arrived companies checked for extension, and placed ground ladders to the roof.  The vehicle was quickly knocked down as Command shortly after placed the fire under control.  The Camden County Fire Marshals Office have the fire under investigation.  No injuries were reported on the fir

 

   



9-18-06 508 Nicholson Rd. - 2nd Alarm Building

 Stations from W. Collingswood Heights, Audubon Park and Gloucester City were dispatched for a report of a building fire around 4:45 a.m. The Bn. Chief from Gloucester City arrived and reported smoke showing from the roof. Engine 514 arrived and secured its own water supply, as its crew forced-entry into the building. The all-hands was sounded after command from W. Collingswood Heights arrived. Units from W. Collingswood Heights worked with Audubon and Gloucester City in stretching multiple 2.5-inch handlines into the building. In short order a second alarm was requested.Crews found a room to be involved in the rear of the building. Companies extinguished the blaze and checked for extension. Additional units working on location were Haddon Heights, Westmont, Pennsauken and the Camden County ISAT. The building was not open at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
