11-13-09 431 Myrtle Ave - All Hands Apartment
At 4:22 A.M., Task Force 5 was dispatched in Woodbury for a reported apartment fire at Bell Lake Apartments. Command arrived on location and reported a working fire. The All Hands box was sounded. Crews arrived and led off with a 1 ¾” hand line followed by a back up line. Interior crews reported smoke and fire on both floors. Searches were negative. Ground ladders were placed as the Arial was placed to provide access for roof operations. 3 1 ¾” hand lines were placed in operation to control the blaze. One firefighter was treated on scene for a respiratory problem. Multiple families were displaced for the night. Crews also fought a fire at this apartment earlier in the night.

3-10-08 WOODBURY 122 Crescent - 2nd Alarm Dwelling
Shortly before 11 pm Task Force 5(Woodbury, Westville and National Park) were dispatched to 122 Crescent in Woodbury for a dwelling fire. County Communications advised units they received a call reporting a neighbor hearing a smoke alarm sounding from the property across the street and seeing smoke. First arriving units reported a 1 1/2 vacant single family dwelling. Command arrived and reported heavy smoke showing from the 2nd floor with visible fire. Companies stretched 2 hand lines to the 2nd floor. The Fire Marshal and utilities were requested. Several minutes later the evacuation tones were sounded for 2 possibly missing firefighters. Accountability was taken to find all firefighters accounted for. At 11:25 pm Command reported the fire through the roof. Multiple mutual aid companies were brought into the scene. Crews had several hand lines in service from the exterior as the truck company set up to go in service with the master stream. Companies operated in defensive attack for an extended operation. Command reported the bulk of the fire knocked down at 12:07 and later placed under control. No firefighter injuries were reported on the fire ground. The dwelling was reporte

01-20-07 500 Evergreen Ave - Apartment with Rescue
Task Force 5 (Woodbury, Westville, National Park) were dispatched for an apartment fire at 500 Evergreen Ave, Apartment 30C in Woodbury on January 20, 2007 at 0936 hours. The initial report was a resident smelling smoke in the hallway with a smoke detector activated. A Fire Marshal in the area arrived on location and reported a working fire with possible people trapped. The all hands was struck with ALS and BLS being added to the box. The Engine Company from Woodbury and the Ladder Company from Westville arrived and forced entry into the apartment. Once the door was forced, crews found the victim semi conscious laying behind the door.The victim was removed and transported to the Cooper Trauma Unit. The fire was placed under control at the 45 minute mark.

02-10-05 547 Queen St. - All Hands Dwelling
Chief(502) arrived before the first due engine and found a one story rancher with heavy fire from the A side. Chief entered the structure to rescue the disabled resident. Mutual aid from Westville(Station), Bellmawr(engine), Mt. Ephraim(Rescue) assisted. The occupant sustained minor injury and refused EMS care.

03-09-05 44 N. Broad St. - High Angle Rescue
Woodbury Fire and EMS were dispatched for a fall victim. Upon arrival crews found a woman who fell while cleaning snow on the roof of a 2 story single family dwelling. Roofing crews arrived and foung the woman laying there. Amount of downtime was unknown. Pt. complained of severe back pain and slight resp. distress. Westville, National Park and ALS were called to the scene. Crews used a 4 to 1 rigging system to lower the pt. The pt. was secured in a stokes basket and lowered to the ground around the 1 hr mark.

09-18-05 242 S. Maple Ave - All Hands Dwelling Fire
Taskforce 5(Westville,Woodbury and National Park) were dispatched in the City of Woodbury for a dwelling fire. 500 arrived on location to find a 2 1/2 wood frame dwelling with heavy smoke and fire showing. Reports were transmitted that there may still be occupants in the dwelling. Crews made an interior attack but switched into defensive operations. All occupants were accounted for.
